One distinct advantage that we enjoy over one-man shops is our ability to split up a project into separate components and bring the entire team to bear on the job, in parallel.

We refer to this type of mode internally as Mecha Shiva*, and it has been a hugely successful way for us to turn quickly turn around projects on a tight deadline without increasing the overall cost of the job. For instance, we were asked in early December to turn around an application in time for Christmas. The project – which would have been about a one month project for an individual – was completed within a week and delivered by the targeted deadline.

This has been an extremely successful approach for us. We’re about to reform Mecha Shiva for another, internal project, and are happy to make this available to customers on a tight timeline.
